Writing Joomla articlesIts delightfully easy to quickly edit articles on the Joomla CMS by logging in and accessing one of the available editors or the default TinyMCE. If you are creating a significant article from scratch, there are a few significant problems:
JoomlaFCK allows full screen editing, has a nice html layout feature and includes a neat facility for seeing the article in the appropriate style. There is still nothing in the way of saving versions as you go or workflow control or management of the default timeouts (the latter is only a problem if you are editing from the backend). but this is a good step forwards. For version control there is Egxact which, while not well used, appears to offer the basic requirements and the source is provided. For workflow, there is nothing available but user access control in conjunction with version control may suffice.
